How to Rehydrate Your Cannabis Bud

By Rolling Up

If you have experienced your weed crumbling that means that the bud has lost its moisture. Improper storage or even leaving your jar or baggy open overnight without it being sealed can leave your weed crumbling. Even novice growers will even overdo drying their bud which will leave it less than optimal for smoking. If a cannabis plant is grown in a moist climate then transported to a dry climate it can also have an impact on the moisture of the weed. The moisture of the cannabis attributes to the overall quality as a whole. You might not have considered rehydrating your weed before. There are different methods to revive your cannabis if you think it is a lost cause.

Citrus Peels

Citrus peels are arguably one of the most popular ways to rehydrate your weed. Place fresh citrus peels into a bag with your bud for 2-3 hours. It will most likely transfer taste and smell

Lettuce is made up of 95% water, which makes it a great candidate for rehydrating a dry batch. Place lettuce with your dry buds and leave it alone for 2-3 hours to rehydrate it. Depending on the size of your stash you may need to repeat it a few times. Don’t rush the process. Don’t leave it out for too long or it will mold.

Humidity Packs

If all else fails, buy some humidity packs to keep in your jars of weed to keep them from drying out. They’re perfectly designed to maintain the optimal levels of humidity.

Final Tips

Don’t over hydrate. Over hydrating can lead to bacterial and mold growth if done excessively. When you’re rehydrating, check on it often to make sure you aren’t infusing it with too much moisture.
