How to Clean Your Vape Pen

By Rolling Up

Overtime and with frequent use, vaporizer pens can leave build up and unwanted residue that can keep you from enjoying your pen thoroughly. While each vape pen is different, the cleaning method remains the same for each of them and it needs to be done regularly.

Materials needed

Rubbing alcohol

Cotton swabs

Microfiber cloth

Paper towels

Pipe cleaners

Step 1:

Before taking apart the pieces of your device, activate it so it warms up so the concentrates and wax are easier to clean and wipe away. Once everything is warmed, separate the mouthpiece, heating chamber, and battery.

Step 2: Cleaning the Mouthpiece

Take the mouthpiece off and dip it in rubbing alcohol. Use a cotton swab to swipe away grime and debris.

Step 3: Cleaning the Chamber and Heating Coil

Empty out the chamber with any leftover consumed materials. Use a cotton swab to wipe away any material and discard it. If the cleaning element can be accessed (not embedded in a screw cartridge) clean by using a pick to scrape away residue then clean with cotton swab and rubbing alcohol. Some vape pens have a metal screen that can be removed. This piece can be submerged in alcohol. Allow this piece to dry completely before putting it back together.

Step 4: Clean the Battery

The battery can simply be wiped down with a paper towel or a microfiber cloth. Be careful to not disturb the power supply while cleaning. Do not submerge in water.

Step 5: Cleaning the Vapor Pathway

Dip a pipe cleaner into rubbing alcohol and use it to clean the vapor pathway. It will disinfect the part. Move it back and forth to release any build up. Let all the pieces dry in a well ventilated area out of direct sunlight, reassemble, and you’re ready to go!
